Established in 2008, NACONM as it is affectionately known has a rich history in its evolution into one of the preferred choice for many applicants over this few years of existence.. Since its inception, the school has lived with this principle and turned out hundreds of enroll nurses who have strived and continue to make immense contributions to the reduction of disability and suffering, morbidity and mortality particularly among marginalized population groups in Ghana.

The motto is “Caring for Humanity is Our Supreme Commitment” with a guiding principle of producing human resource capable of providing health services that is: –

Simple in operation
Extensive in scope
Economic in cost and yet
Efficient in quality.

THE LOCATION OF THE SCHOOL

The school can be located in Nalerigu in East Mamprusi District of the Northern Region of Ghana with Gambaga as the District capital.

PROGRAMMES

The school runs three programmes. Thus, Nursing Assistants’ Clinical (NAC), Registered General Nursing (RGN) and Registered Midwifery (RM).

THE NURSING ASSISTANTS’ CLINICAL: the school started with this programme in 2008 and it has since produced over seven hundred enrolled nurses. Its products can be found in almost all the health facilities in the Northern Region and are doing well. Currently, there are about seven hundred HAC trainees on campus.

THE REGISTERED GENERAL NURSING: This programmes was introduced in year 2013. It is the second programme of the school. It began with One hundred and Fifty students. Its take off gives it a very promising future. We hope to be one of the best grounds for the production of Registered General Nurses

THE REGISTERED MIDWIFERY: This programmes was introduced in the year 2014. It is the third programme of the school. It began with One hundred students. its take off gives it a very promising future. We hope to be one of the best grounds for the production of Registered Midwifes
